Visiting Dunnet Head, the most northern point of mainland Britain concludes another milestone - on the TGGCT I have visited Lands End (most southern point of mainland Britain) and Lizard in the South of Cornwall and now John O'Groats all the way north!

The ride to Durness was very scenic and we stopped at several places for photos and to soak up the views - Betty Hill, Skeray Beach, the Kyle of Tounge with the narrow road crossing over the loch, a prolonged coffee stop next to Loch Eriboll where we made our own brew next to the road, Sangobeg Beach. In Durness we refueld and bought freshly baked sausage rolls which we enjoyed on the shoares of Kyle of Durness. From Durness we head south passed Kinlochbervie beach to Tarbet and the Shorehouse Seafood Restaurant - we were treated with fresh seafood platter and lobster.

The Overscaig House hotel was about a hundred meters from Loch Shin with beautiful views from the conservatory - a view single malts and desert concluded a very enjoyable day.
